What makes a good title sequence according to Kyle cooper?

Kyle cooper is said to be the man that revolutionized the title sequences industry. He believes the title sequence should have the effect of “integration”.
He strongly believes that the title sequence should help” integrate the feeling the movie is trying to portray” from the font used for the credits to the sound used. One sequence that he produced that both used sound and font to portray this was the well-known movie, seven. (Video below) the handwritten fonts gives you the impression/ links in well that the main character’s personality is not at all in the sane category. The sound of the opening sequence causes the audience to feel tense but intrigued with what is happening and what will happen in the duration of the film.

Cooper also believes that a good title sequence should set the expectation of the film. A title sequence that he says “encapsulates the character” is to kill a mocking bird as the obsession of the character is shown as the whole sequence is fixated on the box and what it contains within it.

The opening sequence of a movie should excite the viewer leaving them to carry on watching the film. Kyle Cooper uses his own product “Dawn of the Dead” to give an example of this. He states that the aim of the opening was to emphasise to the audience how wild spread the epidemic has become as well as allow the audience to understand that the government don’t know what is going on or what to do.
